Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: 07-01-2026

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes the rules that apply to all users of the FirstLook platform, including its website, applications, and APIs (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to the FirstLook Terms of Service.

We built FirstLook to be a valuable tool for everyone in the gaming ecosystem. This policy exists to keep it that way. If something isn’t explicitly listed here but clearly undermines the experience for other users, we reserve the right to act on it.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to engage in any of the following:

2.1 Harassment and Abuse

  • Threatening, intimidating, bullying, or harassing any person
  • Sending unsolicited, aggressive, or repeated messages to other users
  • Publishing or sharing content that is defamatory, obscene, or promotes violence
  • Impersonating another person, company, or entity
  • Targeting individuals based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Publishing or threatening to publish another user’s personal information, including real name, home address, or other identifying details, without their consent (“doxxing”)
  • Organizing, encouraging, or participating in coordinated harassment campaigns against any user, including review bombing, brigading, or directing others to target a specific individual
  • Using the Service’s communication features to contact users for purposes unrelated to the applicable play test or the Service, including recruiting testers for off-platform activities or services

2.2 Spam and Unsolicited Communications

  • Sending bulk, automated, or unsolicited messages through the Service
  • Using the Service to distribute advertising, promotional material, or commercial solicitations without prior authorization
  • Creating accounts or interacting with the platform primarily for the purpose of solicitation or lead generation outside the Service’s intended use
  • Using player or tester contact information obtained through the Service for marketing, recruiting, or communications outside the scope of the applicable play test or Service features
  • Sending excessive, irrelevant, or off-topic communications to testers through the Service’s messaging features beyond what is reasonably appropriate for the applicable play test

2.3 Platform Integrity and Security

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other user accounts, or systems connected to the Service
  • Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Service or any related infrastructure
  • Introducing viruses, malware, worms, or any other malicious code
  • Circumventing or disabling any security, authentication, or access-control features of the Service
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service (e.g., denial-of-service attacks)
  • Conducting load testing, stress testing, or performance benchmarking of the Service or its APIs without prior written consent from FirstLook

2.4 API and System Abuse

  • Exceeding documented rate limits or making excessive API calls designed to degrade Service performance
  • Scraping, crawling, or harvesting data from the Service by automated means except as expressly permitted by a written agreement or published API documentation
  • Using the API to build a competing product or service, or to replicate core Service functionality for redistribution
  • Sharing API keys, access tokens, or credentials with unauthorized third parties
  • Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service outside of approved API integrations, including automated gameplay, auto-generated feedback, or scripted interactions that could distort play test results
  • Failing to respect rate limits and usage quotas as published in the API documentation or as communicated by FirstLook, which may be modified at any time in FirstLook’s sole discretion

2.5 Account and Access Misuse

  • Creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions, bans, or usage limits
  • Sharing login credentials with individuals not authorized under your subscription or agreement
  • Misrepresenting your identity, role, or affiliation during registration or while using the Service
  • Transferring or selling your account or access rights without written consent from FirstLook
  • Creating fake or duplicate accounts to participate in play tests for the purpose of obtaining rewards, compensation, or access without a genuine intent to provide meaningful feedback
  • Providing intentionally false, misleading, or low-effort feedback designed to game reward systems or meet minimum participation thresholds rather than genuinely evaluating the product
  • Sharing play test access, beta keys, download links, or invitations with individuals who are not authorized participants in the applicable play test
  • Misrepresenting your gaming experience, hardware specifications, demographics, or other qualifying criteria to gain access to play tests for which you are not eligible

2.6 Intellectual Property and Data Misuse

  • Uploading, sharing, or distributing content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Using data obtained through the Service in a manner that violates applicable law or the rights of others
  • Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service
  • Removing or altering any proprietary notices, labels, or branding within the Service

2.7 Illegal or Harmful Activity

  • Using the Service for any purpose that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law
  • Facilitating fraud, money laundering, or any other financial crime
  • Using the Service to store, transmit, or distribute content that exploits minors
  • Engaging in any activity that could expose FirstLook, its users, or its partners to legal liability
  • Cheating, exploiting known bugs, or using unauthorized modifications, hacks, cheat engines, or similar tools during play tests, except where the purpose of the play test is specifically to identify such vulnerabilities and such activity has been specifically authorized

2.8 Fair Use and Excessive Consumption

The Service, including on free and trial plans, is provided subject to the usage limits, quotas, and feature entitlements associated with your plan, some of which are enforced automatically and some of which are not. Where a feature is not subject to an automated limit, you agree to use it in a manner consistent with its intended purpose and with normal, good-faith usage patterns for a customer on your plan.

You agree not to:

  • Use any feature of the Service — including surveys, messaging, player or tester management, data exports, or automated workflows — in a volume, frequency, or manner that materially exceeds normal usage patterns for your plan or that is not reasonably related to a legitimate play test or use of the Service;
  • Generate excessive load or consume a disproportionate share of Service resources, whether through manual or automated activity;
  • Structure your activity, accounts, or workspaces to evade or artificially stay within plan limits while achieving usage that the limits are designed to prevent.

3. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any activity that violates this AUP, please report it to us at support@pragma.gg. We take reports seriously and will investigate promptly. We will not retaliate against users who report violations in good faith.

4. Monitoring and Compliance

FirstLook reserves the right—but is not obligated—to monitor use of the Service for compliance with this AUP. We may employ automated tools, usage analytics, and manual review to detect violations. We are not responsible for content or actions of individual users, but we will act when violations are brought to our attention or otherwise discovered.

By using the Service, you agree to cooperate with FirstLook’s investigation of potential violations of this AUP, including providing information reasonably requested by FirstLook in connection with any such investigation.

5. Enforcement

If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may take any action we deem appropriate, including but not limited to:

  • Issuing a warning
  • Temporarily suspending your access to the Service
  • Permanently terminating your account
  • Removing or disabling content that violates this policy
  • Reporting the activity to law enforcement or relevant authorities

The severity of our response will depend on the nature and impact of the violation. We may act without prior notice where we believe immediate action is necessary to protect the Service, its users, or third parties.

FirstLook will endeavor to apply enforcement actions that are proportionate to the severity of the violation. Users may appeal enforcement actions by contacting FirstLook at the address provided in Section 7 within thirty (30) days of the enforcement action. FirstLook will review appeals in good faith and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Where enforcement action is taken against a Player/Tester participating in a play test, FirstLook may notify the relevant publisher or studio of the action taken.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email to the address associated with your account. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
